- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for commercial item procurement for replacement of existing cooling tower, chiller and condenser pumps at the following buildings. Bldg A-651 Boca Chica. Replace existing AT-8-63 Evapco cooling tower with new cooling tower equal to existing. Bldg A-651 must be operational by 08 September 2006. If the contractor cannot complete all new work in order to make the unit operational by this date, the government will require an alternate solution such as providing a temporary/portable cooling tower until the permanent work can be accomplished. However, the permanent work must be complete by 8 October 2006. Bldg 1352 Truman Annex: Replace existing RTHB300 chiller with new Trane RTHB. Replace existing AT8-126 Evapco cooling tower with new Evapco USS19-914. Replace existing 3KV92A Dayton condenser pumps with new Bell & Gossett 80BF8.500. New pumps need to be horizontal mounted rather than vertical mounted to match existing piping configuration. Bldg A-4053 Boca Chica: 1. Replace the two (2) existing Carrier 50HJ-008-521 Weather master package units (7.5 tons 73,000 BTU) with new package units equal to the existing Carrier units. The government has two HVAC units located at Bldg A-4190 for use at Bldg A-4053. The contractor will have the option of disconnecting, relocating, and re-installing at A-4053.
