NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTIONS 02 August 2006 TELESCOPE DOME FA7000-06-T-0111 Department of the Air Force Contracting Flight/LGCB 8110 Industrial Dr, Ste 200 USAF Academy, CO 80840-2315 1. This notice will serve as notification of a solicitation for the following requirements: ITEM DESCRIPTION: Quantity Description 1 Ea Telescope Dome System w/3 Wall Ring Units NAICS Code: 333314 2. This is a NAME BRAND OR EQUAL SPECIFICATION acquisition restricted as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The physics department has a requirement to purchase a small stand-alone telescope dome. As a whole, the telescope dome system has a 36? wide full opening slit, complete 360? rotation, integral access door built into the walls, no header rail on molded door/frame, 48? high walls, 9? center height, and a 10? diameter to accommodate one or more optical instruments. This allows the user to place sensitive optical instruments on the roof of the observatory and increase the ability to capture data with multiple telescopes and imaging devices simultaneously. It also allows us to utilize optical instruments over multiple nights of viewing while still protecting them from adverse weather conditions. The preference is for a Home Dome Model Pro Dome PD10 with three (3) wall ring units, Model PD WR-10. The system should consist of the following: 10 foot diameter fiberglass dome 36 inch wide observatory slit opening Slit opens past zenith Integral two piece shutter 48 inch wall height below dome Center dome height of nine fee Fiberglass wall units have integral molded semi-door with no top rail for full height access Motor controls easily retrofitted at later date Entire unit can be bolted to a roof or foundation pad All assembly hardware included Exterior color to be white Full 360 degree dome rotation on large ball bearing rollers This Notice of Proposed Contract Action is the only solicitation submitted for this requirement. No formal solicitation will be issued prior to award. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by 10MSG/LGCB. It should be noted that faxed quotations will be accepted. The faxed quotation can be sent to (719)333-9103. Email quotations will also be accepted and can be emailed to cherish.driver@usafa.af.mil. 3. Faxed or emailed quotations are to be received at the Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Drive, Suite 200, USAF Academy CO 80840-2315, no later than 3 PM (MST) on 13 August 2006. 4. This procurement is for the acquisition of a commercial item using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. 5. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. The offer must conform to the solicitation and be the most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. This is restricted as a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources submitting a proposal, which meets or exceeds the specifications provided herein. All responsible small business concerns offers shall be considered by the agency. The following factors shall be considered: price and delivery. Please submit your quote on company letterhead with all pertinent point of contact information including CCR Cage Code, DUNS No., Tax Id No., and size/type of small business. In addition, your quote should provide unit price, total price, delivery date, and FOB Destination. Additionally, IAW 52.212-3, annual reps and certs must be completed online at http://orca.bpn..gov. If your company has a GSA contract, please provide the GSA Contract No. as well. Delivery requirement: FOB for this RFQ is Destination.
