- Contractor shall provide all tools, labor, materials, and supervision to perform all work required for Project 679-06-109 ?Replace Brick Pavers B137? at the VA Medical Center, 3701 Loop Road E., Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35404 in accordance with plans and specifications. The Contractor shall be responsible for the work in the project which includes but is not limited to demolition of approximately 3,200 square feet of brick pavers and concrete sidewalks/bands at the entrance of B135, then replace with stamped (basket weave pattern) Bomanite to simulate brick pavers and to re-pour concrete sidewalks and bands as per design drawings. Work also includes the daily cleanup and hauling off of all construction debris and the placement of all traffic barriers. Reference Design Drawings 135-L12, Sheets 1 and 2 of 2 dated 6-22-06, Street Lights/Entrance. It is a requirement of this contract that the awarded contractor will be required to provide an OSHA certified ?competent person? who shall have 30 hours of the OSHA Certified Construction Safety Course, all other persons working on this project shall have completed the 10 hour OSHA Certified Construction Safety Course. The estimated dollar value of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is on/about August 15, 2006, with an estimated bid opening date of August 31, 2006. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238110 and the size standard of $13 million applies for this procurement. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds, and is SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) procurement. All solicitation packages will be available for downloading from the website www.fedbizopps.gov listed in this announcement. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE PROVIDED. However, drawings will be issued on a first come first serve basis. Only twenty-five (25) sets of drawings will be issued.
