- THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY ? The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the National Association of Counties (NACO), Inc., 440 First Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001-2080. The purpose of this procurement is to raise the awareness of county officials about the Rural Health Works (RHWks) projects by: (1) conducting an RHWks demo in three rural counties, (2) educating county officials on the benefits of the program, and (3) providing opportunities for peer-to-peer learning about RHWks through NACO conferences and publications. NACO is a full-service organization that provides an extensive line of services including legislative, research, technical, public affairs assistance, and enterprise services. NACO conducted a project that helped three (3) rural county officials implement RHWks and has an excellent working relationship and ongoing contact with county officials in rural America. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. The period of performance for this project is one (1) year with two (2) option years. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1, a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.601-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY.
