- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for the provision of Phlebotomist Services for the Metropolitan Detention Center located in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico 00965. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621399 (Size Standard: $6.5 million). All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Phlebotomist services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The contractor’s performance shall be monitored by the COTR and the contractor must have the ability to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethnic backgrounds. The contractor shall be knowledgeable of the CLIA regulations referencing the laboratory. The contractor shall be experienced as an phlebotomist and be a graduate of an accredited school of phlebotomy. Finally, the contractor must also possess and maintain a current license and registration for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. It is estimated that the contractor will perform 1440 one (1) hour sessions per year. A session is defined as one (1) hour. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about August 28, 2006, and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated receipt of quotes is September 26, 2006. The solicitation is restricted to small business sources. All responsible small business sources may submit a quotation which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contract for which they are eligible. Please note: All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov.
