- Description
- The project consists of the removal of 23 existing pay stations and installation of 27 pay stations. Pay stations that are removed are to be disposed of in a state-approved landfill. Holes that are left after removal of pay stations are to be filled with compacted soil and dressed to match natural ground. Fill may be obtained from a borrow pit approximately ¼ mile form the Ellis Trailhead. Pay stations may or may not be installed in the same location as those removed. New pay stations will be installed prior to removal of existing pay stations in most locations. Existing pay stations are typically 6” metal pipe. Means with which the existing fee safes are anchored to the ground may vary. Pay stations are to be installed on concrete bases according to attached drawings. Subsurface conditions may vary. Locations of pay stations to be removed and installation locations of new pay stations shall be verified and field marked by Government personnel prior to installation/removal. Pay stations are to be mounted plumb and level on the concrete pedestals. Surrounding ground shall be graded and dressed neatly after installation. Project is located on the Sandia Ranger District, Cibola National Forest, Bernalillo/Sandoval counties, New Mexico. Price range is under $50,000.00.
