Item 0001 NOUN; Seal Air, Aircraft G, NSN: 2840-01-192-1066 PR, P/N: 9340M30P01, applicable to F110-100 Engine. Description and Function: This item provides a seal in the main engine bearing. Seal Sta-Oil. Appl F110 Engine for F16 Aircraft, models C and D. Sur rounds brg no. 5 and prevents oil loss. Dimensions: Outside Dia. 11.810 inches overall height 2.675. Material: Housing and Plate: AMS 5643 Caron Segments A50TF96 Keys AMS 5504 or AMS 5613. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery: Min 5/Max 13 on or before 31 Mar 2007. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 19 May 06. Approximate response date will be 19 Jun 06. The anticipated award date will be 06 Jul 06. Only qualified sources may apply. The following sources have been approved for this acquisition: General Electric (07482), Stein Seal Co (03673), and Kaydon Corp (75370). This part requires engineering source approval in order to maintain the quality of the part. Engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources require acquisition of the part from the approved sources. Qualified sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FA 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FA clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or n the source selection process.
