Description
The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase the following items and their installation from Fisher Theatrical: A quantity of thirty-six (36), 10-feet TR-8T Truss, a quantity of sixteen (16), 8-feet TR-8T Truss, a quantity of ten (10), 5-feet TR-8T Truss, a quantity of thirty (30), TR-8T 3-way Truss, a quantity of twelve (12), TR-8T 4-way Truss, a quantity of eight (8), TR-8T 90 degree corner, a quantity of twelve (12) Overhead Rigging Points to roof steel, a quantity of twelve (12), GAC-EN60X3 feet Black Steelflex Roundsling, a quantity of twenty-four (24), one-half Spa Shackle HG Domestic, a quantity of twelve (12), Tbkl Jaw and Eye Galv 1/2x9, a quantity of twenty-four (24), 7/16 in Heavy Duty Thimble, a quantity of twenty-four (24), 3/8 in. copper swage sleeve, a quantity of one (1), 3/8x250 feet 7X19 GAC Cable, a quantity of twenty-four (24), ChainMaster BGV-D8, .25 ton, 16 feet/min, 24 feet lift, a quantity of one (1), wall mount panel complete with strip terminals for external connection, 12-20A breakers including internal box for remote, a quantity of one (1), 24 channel remote control, with 3 x 8 motor grouping or each group of 8 individually or each 24 motors individually including 75 feet of cable, a quantity of twenty-four (24), hoist power and control plugging boxes. The items shall be installed in the NSWC Human Performance Lab (HPL) in Building 1470 which requires a system that provides the capability to create a variety of customizable command space designs in an immersive environment. The ceili ng in the lab is approximately 18 feet. The lab is normally divided into three sections by movable walls. This requires three separate grids to hang equipment from. There is currently a dead hung grid over approximately one-third of the HPL, previously installed. All three sections of the grid must be individually adjustable vertically to simulate different ceiling heights desired in the space and to aid in attaching lights and other equipment onto the grids. Statement of Work: The contractor shall purchase and integrate the hanging grid system and its element components. The contractor will purchase, assemble, fabricate, and integrate the components necessary to make a controllable hanging grid system (26 feet x 40 feet) tailored for the HPL. The contractor shall install the controllable hanging grid system in the HPL and demonstrate its functionality by using the controls to raise and lower the three grids individually to a suitable working height. The controllable hanging grid system consists of many elements. The elements will be purchased or fabricated by the Contractor and delivered to the HPL, where they will be assembled by the Contractor into a controllable hanging grid system. The Hanging Grid System shall be a turnkey installation. The Contractor is responsible to deliver, install, ensure operability and train users on the installed equipment (maintenance, operation, and service). This procurement is limited to Fisher Theatrical, 7476 New Ridge Rd Ste C Hanover, MD 21076. Fisher Theatrical provided the initial parts and installation at NSWC?s Human Performance Lab. These goods and services will be acquired using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The closing date is 04 August 2006 at 5:00 p.m. eastern time. Anticipated award date is 08 August 2006. All items are to be priced FOB-Destination, Dahlgren, VA. Delivery and installation shall be 10 weeks after receipt of order. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE.
