Description
1. Is it possible to provide separate general requirements for the Hand Held Test Device and the Ground Test Set? Answer: At this time it is not possible to separate the general requirements. The requirements are for both the Hand Held System and the Ground Based System. The difference would be that the Ground Based System would be larger heaver and be able to display more information to the user. 2. Please verify that the quantities for the Ground Test Sets are correct. Answer: The quantities listed in the RFI are correct for both the Hand Held Test Set and the Ground Based Test set. 3. What is the level of classification (both operating and non-operating) that is expected for both the Hand Hel Test Devices and the Ground Test Sets, and what features would the contractor need to incorporate in the units to satisfy Customer Security Requirements? Answer: The test box will be considered classified when any of the testing programs are loaded. The test box should have a zeroized function so that at the end of the day the operator can declassify the system. This applies to both the Hand Held Test set and the Ground Based Test Set. 4. Does the power requirement for the Ground Test Set include batteries, a UPS, or is shore power sufficient Answer: Internal batteries and shore power should be considered for the Ground Based Units. The units should be able to take shore power from 12-24VDC and 110-240VAC. 5. Will the Blue Force Communication frequencies be made available to the contractor? Answer: Yes, the Blue Force Communications frequencies will be made available. 6. Is there an estimated date available for the requirements document to be issued? Answer: No date has been set for the requirements document. 7. Will the Ground Based Test Sets also be required to radiate through transmit antennas and measure the UUT response through receive antennas (as in the Portable Test Device), or will it only be required to inject stimulus signals and measure the responding RF signal to the UUT antennas through direct connect RF cables? Answer: Both systems should be able to use transmit and receive antennas and be able to direct connect to the system under test. 8. What are the RF ranges that the CREWS operate to? Answer : Both the Hand Held and Ground Based Test Boxes need to be able to go from 20 MHz to 2.5 GHz with the ability to be expanded at a future date to 6.5 GHz. This information in and of itself is not classified. 9. Please confirm if all of the general requirements are applicable to the Hand Held Device ? for example, is the Hand Held Device required to test CTP and provide direct input into the UUT? Answer: Yes, both the Hand Held Device and the Ground Based Device should be able to provide and receive direct input from the UUT. General Note: Some aspects of this program may become classified at a future date.
