- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) Q1574060169. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-04 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423310 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The following is a description of the requirements for this acquisition: Doug fir shall be S4S, free from warpage, rot, or other imperfections impairing strength and durability. moisture content of treated lumber after treatment shall not exceed 25%. Lumber grades as per Western Wood Products Assoc. (WWPA). All lumber shall be pressure treated with COPPER AZOLE (CA-B) as per the American Wood Preservers Assoc. (AWPA) Unless otherwise noted, all lumber shall be pressure treated as designated. All lumber shall be cut to length prior to treatment. Certificates of treatment and grade to be furnished on all materials. Lumber should be banded in lots not to exceed 6,000 pounds. Quantities may vary. Quote price delivered to Mammoth Supply Center, Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190. Desired delivery date of October 1, 2006, if unable to meet this date, please state earliest delivery date that you can arrange.
