- INTRODUCTION. A. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Parts 12.6 and 13, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. B. The combined synopsis and Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is: AMSRDT-AR-2-2306 C. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09, effective 19 MAY 06 D. This acquisition is set aside for small business. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 423830, Industrial Machining and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers, corresponding to a size standard of 100 employees for small business qualification. E. Basis for award Award shall be made to the responsible offeror having the lowest price. II. GENERAL. A. The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan has a requirement for the following Accupress Brake and Accurshear Hydraulic Shear; 1 - New Accurpress 175 Ton x 12 Brake " Advantage package for +/-0.0004 repeatability " ETS 3000 2-axis graphical gauging system with X & Y axis " Wila hydraulic punch clamping syatem for American-style tooling " Accurcrown adjustable crown die holder for American-style tooling Price includes delivered to door, start-up and training 1 - New Accurshear Hydraulic Shear Model 6-500-10 Specifications: Capacity (Based on 80,000 PSI A36 steel): 1/2 inch x 10 foot Rake angle: 3/8 inch per ft. Knife size: 1 inch x 4 inch Knife length: 124 inch Strokes per minute (min/max): 18/40 Motor: 40 HP Electrics: 220/440/3/60 Number of hold downs:16 Hold down tonnage: 20 Approximate weight: 28,000 lbs. Submittal Instructions. Quotations shall be submitted electronically to nicole.gram@tacom.army.mil . Quotations shall be in English (American Standard) language and denominated in U.S. dollars. Quotations shall also include shipping (FOB Destination) and delivery schedule (requested delivery within 150 days after award). In the event that we select your quotation for award, we will send out a contract incorporating the above terms & conditions, and particulars of your quotation. TACOM reserves the right to seek clarification on any aspect of your quotation. C. This acquisition is unrated under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). D. Quotations must be received by TACOM no later than 1:00 P.M EST, 08 August 2006. Email quotations to nicole.gram@tacom.army.mil .
