Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, Air Education and Training Command, Randolph AFB - 12th Contracting Office, 395 B Street West Suite 2, Randolph AFB, TX, 78150-4525 Description EBOOK ETI-1 DEVICE The 12th Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB intends to award a contract on a Sole-Source basis for the purchase of items listed in the Description of Supplies. This is a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being accepted and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. The NAICS Code is 611420; size standard $6.5 million. IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304c(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(c ), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies Will Satisfy Agency Requirement. A Firm Fixed Priced Award will be in accordance with the following Description of Supplies: DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES A. Following items will be provided: ITEM DESCRIPTION Quantity/Unit CLIN 0000 ETI-1 eBook devices 50/EA CLIN 0001 128MB Compact Flash Card 50/EA CLIN 0002 Server software license (per CPU) 1/EA CLIN 0003 1-year support and maintenance 1/EA CLIN 0004 Shipping 1/EA CLIN 0005 Client Access License (CAL) 50/EA B. Period of Performance: One Year . JUSTIFICATION: EBook Technologies, Inc. is currently being utilized in sustainment of numerous schools, to include Squadron Officer College (SOC) at Maxwell AFB, AL. The procurement of 50 eBooks is essential for conducting a similar test in the flying training environment to determine whether the 12 OG would benefit from converting to paperless academics without hindering the steep learning curve associated with flying training. ETI maintains the software infrastructure up to date through automatic distribution of the latest releases and fixes, new functionality, telephone technical support, and 24/7 online support. The eBook ETI-1 has very unique capability and functionality, which gives the users the ability to incorporate an entire course curriculum as, well the ability to control data from each individual unit. Additionally, the eBook ETI-1 is compatible with 12 OG existing software and hardware. CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Evaluation procedures in FAR Part 13.106-2 will be utilized. Interested parties capable of providing the above must submit a written price quote to include discount terms, Cage Code, DUNS number, and Tax ID. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this solicitation, contractor must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS.
