- Description
- This project includes, but is not limited to, replacing five handpumps in five locations on the Salmon Challis National Forest and installing one government supplied hand pump chlorinator at one site. Each handpump replacement will include removal of existing handpumps, demolition of existing concrete pads and gutters. Improvements include extending well casing to meet Idaho Regulations (18-inches above final grade), installing 4-1/2 inch PVC well liner, and installing new fiberglass pump rods, new handpumps, concrete pads, concrete gutters, sumps, and minor grading work to improve drainage around concrete pads. Installation of hand pump chlorinator will require plumbing and box fabrication in addition to the other item listed above. The project is located on the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Lemhi and Custer Counties, Idaho. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The performance period will be 60 Calendar Days, all work shall be completed no later than September 1, 2007. Work on sites other than Spring Creek Campground may begin this fall if requested and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer. Quotes are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, September 9, 2006. A pre-quote meeting has been scheduled for August 30, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Prospective quoters shall meet at the Salmon-Challis National Forest Supervisor?s Office one mile south of Salmon, Idaho on Highway 93. The estimated price range is $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation will be available on approximately August 16, 2006, and may be downloaded from this site at that time. All responsible vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database at www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered.
