Description

This is notice that the Bureau of Reclamation, Northern California Area Office intends to award a sole source contract to Waste Management Inc. of Sacramento. This request for quotation will consist of providing all labor, equipment and materials needed for garbage collection services at various Bureau of Reclamation sites in outlying areas of Redding, California. Waste Management, Inc. is a large business that owns the sole franchise to collect and dispose of trash in Shasta County. Contractors without a franchise are not allowed to perform these services in Shasta County. This requirement is a commercial item being procured under Simplifed Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The applicable NAICS code is 562111 with a size standard of 11.5M average annual receipts. This contract is for a one year period with four additional one-year option periods. The base year award of this contract will begin October 1, 2006. Solicitation No. 06SQ2300019 will be issued to Waste Management on or about August 14, 2006. The estimated due date for receipt of quote is September 6, 2006 and award will be made on or around September 20, 2006. Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor to be awarded a government contract must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors may register at http:www.ccr.gov.
