- Description
- The USAID/EA Burundi Country Representative provides expert advice, policy direction, and assistance in support of programs in Burundi. Advice and policy direction center on developing, planning, implementing, managing and monitoring the Burundi portfolio of activities. Portfolio components will likely include activities in democracy and governance, health, food security, economic growth and humanitarian assistance. Annual funding for the portfolio is expected to be at least $15 million annually. The Burundi Country Representative will report to and be supervised by the Director of REDSO?s Office of Limited Presence Countries. Representative will be expected to work in close collaboration with the Department of State Chief of Mission, the USAID Office of Limited Presence Countries, USAID/East Africa, USAID/W, the Government of Burundi (GoB), the donor community, the private sector, NGOs, and grantees and contractors.
