- FISC Norfolk Detachment Phila intends to place a contract modification under the authority of section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501 (a), on a sole source acquisition basis under contract # N00140-04-M-0193 with Medical Language Practitioners for an increase in the total # of lines of transcription from 1,725,000 by 1,150,000 to 2,875,000. The additional lines of transcription is the result of a dramatic increase in workload at the NNMC. The additional lines of transcription will be consumed by 1 Oct 06. The proposed modification is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Medical Language Practitioners under the authority of the Clinger Cohen act, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
