Nihoff 717-605-4579 This acquisition is subject to FAR Clause 52.213-18, Availability of Funds. Title: Replace Roofs, Buildings 213 and 509, Naval Support Activity, Mechanicsburg PA Scope of Work: The work includes, but is not limited to, removal and disposal of the following existing materials where indicated or implied on the drawings: gravel surfaced multiple ply built-up roof systems (including asbestos containing strippings and flashings; asbestos containing fascia and wall cladding (monitor walls and incidental locations); incidental EIFS; exterior ladder assemblies; wood blocking; sheet metal assemblies; terra cotta parapet caps (fire walls); deteriorated wood plank decking; roof and wall mounted lighting; corrugated wall panels, furring, and batt insulation at monitor windows. Monitor air quality during asbestos containing material removal. The work also includes, but is not limited to, the installation of the following materials where indicated or implied on the drawings: wood plank decking (to replace deteriorated decking), rosin sheet, multilayered roof insulation, wood blocking, perimeter parapet walls, fully adhered EPDM membrane roofing and flashings, sheet metal assemblies, exterior insulation finish system (EIFS) on monitor walls and eave edge, exterior access ladders and cages, exhaust fans and wall mounted intake louvers, new roof mounted lighting and roof drains. Provide overhead protection at entrance locations to maintain building access. Monitor air quality during adhesive installation. Estimated Price Range: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Number of Days in Contract: 240 with a 2 APR 2007 start for on site performance. Number of Bid Items: One NAICS Code: 238160 Roofing Contractors $13 Million. Prospective contractors must register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award. Bidders are notified that failure to register may render their firm ineligible for award. This acquisition shall be Unrestricted with a 10% Evaluation Preference for HUB Zone Small Business.
