Description
The contract work will consist of maintenance dredging and will be performed at various locations along the Upper Chesapeake Bay portion of the Inland Waterway Chesapeake and Delaware Canal from Station 162+308 to Station 250+440. Dredging will be r equired to a depth of 39 feet with a one-foot allowable over depth, with no side slopes delineated and/or paid for along both channel edges (box cut). Dredging will be performed to a point extending 25 feet outside the channel edges in the Upper Chesapeak e Bay Approach Channel where shoaling occurs along the channel edge within the authorized channel limits. The material to be removed must be performed by bucket dredge and bottom dump scows only, with material placement in overboard disposal area known as Site 92 in the Chesapeake Bay. The completion time for this project is 120 calendar days. Solicitation Number W912BU-06-B-0015 will be issued on or about 08 August 2006 with a bid opening date of 07 September at 11:00 A.M. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $18.5 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5 ,000,000.00 and bonding is required. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage located at https://www.fedteds.gov. Registration for plans and specifications should b e made via FedTeDS Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be permitted to dow nload solicitation documents/information. FedTeDS registration requires the following information: CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), DUNS Number or CAGE Code, Telephone Number and E-mail Address.
