Description
Base Realignment and Closure 2005 Construction Impacts. In preparation for future construction projects at affected San Antonio area military installations, the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Fort Worth District will be conducting market research by holding an Industry Day Forum to seek Industry capability and input into how to execute a multi-billion dollar program in the San Antonio area. Primary purpose is to explore various ideas for alternative approaches. THIS IS A FREE EVENT. THERE IS NO R EGISTRATION FEE. This Industry Day, in addition to the market research questionnaire, is necessary in order for the Government to determine whether or not the market has the capability and capacity to execute this potential multi-billion dollar program ove r the next four years. In order to facilitate Industry understanding of the potential program prior to the Industry Day, the Fort Worth District has placed a MS power point presentation on the Fort Worth District Contracting Divisions home page http://eb s.swf.usace.army.mil . Additionally, the Fort Worth District requests that you complete the questionnaire (also found on this website) and provide your responses by close of business August 30, 2006. INPUT IS DESIRED FROM ALL INTERESTED PARTIES. THIS I NCLUDES CONTRACTORS, INDUSTRY ORGANIZATIONS, ASSOCIATIONS OR SOCIETIES. This Construction Program will consist of primarily medical related facilities. This includes hospitals, clinics, surgical centers, research laboratories. Also included are support fa cilities such as barracks/dormitories, medical training facilities, garages, youth centers, fire stations, vehicle maintenance facilities, physical fitness centers. Projects include new vertical construction, renovations and demolition. THIS PROGRAM IS NO T RESTRICTED AND IS OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION UNDER NAICS CODES 236 Construction of Buildings (236116, 117, 118, 210, 220); 237 Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction (237110, 120, 130, 210); 238 Specialty Trade Contractors ( 238110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 190, 210, 220, 290, 310, 320, 330, 340, 350, 390, 910, 990); 541 Professional and Technical Services (541310, 320, 330, 410, 490). This announcement is being broadcasted to several of the above NAICS codes to ensure that it has the widest dissemination as possible. It is our intent to reach as many interested parties as possible. The Industry Day Forum will be held: August 15, 2006, 9am-4pm, Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, San Antonio, TX.
