Price is to include any and all hazardous material charges when applicable. Requested delivery is approximately thirty (3) days after receipt of a purchase order. This is a Sole Source with Fisher Scientific Co. IAW FAR 6.302-1. Fisher Scientific Co. is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement because they are used exclusively as the manufacturer and distributor of laboratory supplies by all other organizations participating in a cooperative research and development program of which MCA-B is a part. MCA-B is continuing to determine the quality of product synthesized using critical Fisher Scientific supplies. To change the source of the reagents during this examination period would seriously hinder the process by creating more process variables. For quality control and program continuity purposes, Fisher Scientific supplies need to be utilized. No solicitation documents exist at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3821 with a business size of 500 employees and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 339111. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Fisher Scientific Co. is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
