- **This notice constitutes issuance of a Request for Information (RFI) and is NOT issuance of a Request for Purchase (RFP).** DESCRIPTION: SOURCES SOUGHT ? This is a Sources Sought Synopsis; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. The purpose of publishing a sources sought synopsis is strictly for Market Research, all information gathered will be used to identify potential sources meeting the objective. OBJECTIVE: The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Air Vehicles (VA) Directorate is currently researching potential sources capable of building electrical power and control cabinets used for radiant heat generation. These types of electrical cabinets are split into categories described as: 1) HEAT POWER CABINETS (Reference No. F4FBEC6181A100) and 2) HEAT CONTROLLER CABINETS (Reference No. F4FBEC6181A200). Both types of cabinets are to be BUILD TO ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS (ATTACHED) and BUILD TO PRINT SPECIFICATIONS (ATTACHED). In addition, a BILL OF MATERIALS (ATTACHED) INDICATES when an item may be SUBSTITUTED ?Brand name or equal? or NOT SUBSTITUTED ?Brand name?. For the HEAT POWER CABINETS (Reference No. F4FBEC6181A100), interested vendors must be capable of building four (4) 1000A and five (5) 500A power cabinets in 60 days or less in order to reply. For the HEAT CONTROLLER CABINETS (Reference No. F4FBEC6181A200), interested vendors must be capable of building eight (8) controller cabinets in 60 days or less in order to reply. NOTE: Small-businesses capable of providing either type of the electrical cabinets (or both types of cabinets) are encouraged to respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis. HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOB), Women Owned, Veteran Owned, and 8(a) are also encouraged to reply.
