- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source requirement to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in support of the 7th National Conference on Access Management to be held August 13-16, 2006 in Park City, Utah. This conference shall provide the opportunity for per-to-peer learning and the development of effective methods to improve transportation agency practices and skills with regard to access management. FHWA is a co-sponsor of this conference, which is held every two years. FHWA also has a membership on the Transportation Research Board ADA 70 committee on Access Management. The committee has a strong historic and active commitment to increasing the awareness and use of access management techniques. It is essential for FHWA to support this event so that the agency will be provide with proprietary information produced following the conference. No other known source can provide the required services. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about August 7, 2006.
