- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Allenwood Federal Correctional Complex, Pa, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, intends to make a sole source award to BAASE Company, Inc., 140 Railroad Drive, Westminister, PA 18974-0052. This requirement is for the acquisition of three (3) gas fired water heaters with regulators. Specifications for the requirement are included below. To the best of our knowledge, these products can only be purchased from Baase Co., Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, as no solicitation document is available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of this published synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, Attn: Thomas Fronk, Allenwood Federal Correctional Complex, P.O. Box 3000, White Deer, PA 17887. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, FCC Allenwood will proceed with the sole-source negotiated award to BAASE Company, Inc. SPECIFICATIONS FOR REPLACEMENT WATER HEATERS The following are the minimum requirements needed for the replacement of three (3) gas fired water heaters to be located in the Federal Correctional Institution, Allenwood PA. All specifications must include a minimum warranty of ten years on all parts and the tank. Tank Specifications: All specifications listed shall be for a natural gas fired domestic closed loop, quick demand system water heater. All equipment must be rated as high efficiency water heaters that meet all federal, state and local requirements. A. Features: All Features listed are minimum required: 1. Natural Gas Fuel. 2. Direct Vent or conventional vent capable. 3. 150 PSIG Working Pressure ASME Certified. 4. UL, ULC Listed and ASME Coded. 5. Internal low water cutoff and dual high temperature protection. 6. Temperature control +/-2F. B. Specifications: All Specifications listed are minimum required: 1. 1,000,000 BTU/Hr. 2. 850,000 - 900,000 BTU/Hr. 3. 150 PSIG, ASME certified working pressure. 4. 120volt single phase electrical requirement. 5. 25 GPM minimum water flow. 6. 150 GPM maximum water flow. 7. 50F to 200F temperature control range. C. Dimensions: All dimensions are listed to allow for movement of tank units through a standard 34" door opening. 1. 23" Maximum width. 2. 80" Maximum height. 3. 48" maximum depth. 4. 1400 lbs. Maximum weight. 5. 3" Maximum water inlet/outlet.
