**THIS SYNOPSIS HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO EXTEND RESPONSE DATE TO AUGUST 4, 2006 AND TO ADD THE STATEMENT THAT THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD WITH DISCUSSIONS. MARSHALL IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE A FAX COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. FEMA JFO/TRO Biloxi is soliciting for two (2) open-sided equipment sheds to be erected at FEMA Staging Area, Purvis, Lamar County, MS. Technical POC: Brian Williams Cell: 202-436-5033 Contracting POC: Doug Marshall 228-385-5795 Scope: The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials and personnel to construct two (2) 24? X 48? with 14? header clearance equipment shelters at the Purvis, MS Emergency Housing Site. Dimensions may exceed requirements slightly but shall not be less than specifications. Partially Enclosed Structures (Post-Frame Open-Sided Sheds) Provide two (2) 24? X 48?open-sided post-frame buildings with minimum header clearance of 14?, with either 3:12 or 4:12 roof pitch. Trusses will consist of square metal tubing, or equal in strength. Side posts will consist of 6? X 6? number two treated lumber spaced no greater than 12? on center. Ends will be unobstructed 24? wide openings. Roof lathe and/or purlings will be #1 SPIB/TPI lumber spaced at 2? on center. Metal sheeting for roof and siding shall be 26 gauge or thicker galvanized metal of Galvalume type or equivalent in strength and rust resistance. Corrugated roofing shall not be used. Trusses, posts, footings, and roof shall be sufficient to withstand 120 MPH wind loads. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all required building and construction permits from the City of Purvis, MS. The contractor shall also be responsible for meeting all State and Local building codes and regulations and generally accepted practices within the building trade. The contractor shall be responsible for disposing of all waste and trash acquired during the project on a daily basis. The contractor performance shall not hinder the normal operations of the site. The contractor shall establish procedures to monitor, and track progress and compliance with Government requirements and manufacturer?s specifications. All drawings, specifications and/or manuals [i.e. blueprints] shall be turned over to the FEMA point of contact at the time the work is completed. Delivery Schedule: The contractor shall complete the contract within forty five (45) days of award of purchase order, excepting excusable delays approved by the Contracting Officer or his Technical Representative.
