- THIS IS A COMPETITIVE ACQUISITION. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals to provide Airborne Isolation (AII) Room Maintenance and Certification. These services apply to the necessary standards set by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) to provide a healthy environment for detainees, staff and visitors. In order to control the spread of tuberculosis among detained populations and medical staff, DIHS policy states that those with tuberculosis must be isolated for a designated period of time in an Airborne Infection Isolation room (AII). A total of 36 isolation rooms from 9 Service Processing Centers (SPC) across the country will require annual analysis to ensure at a minimum proper airflow and calibration. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 13.5, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The period of performance will be for 12 months plus four (4) 12 months options. A complete RFQ package will be issued electronically, and will be available for downloading from this site on or about July 24, 2006. The due date for questions is July 29 at 12:00 p.m. EST. The due date for proposals is August 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. EST. TELEPHONE REQUEST WILL NOT BE HONORED.
