- JEMEZ FALLS CAMPGROUND STEWARDSHIP- The project area is in a popular campground located within dense stands of ponderosa pine that are at high risk of drought-induced bark beetle attack, as well as a risk of wildfire. The primary purpose of the project is to improve stand health by reducing the overall stand density by up to 50%. To accomplish these goals, this project includes several different components: timber removal (commercial thinning), precommercial thinning, slash treatment by decking, chipping or removing. There are 217 acres to be treated under this project, including thinning, slash treatment and timber removal. Project is located on the Santa Fe National Forest, Jemez Ranger District, Sandoval County, New Mexico. Note: This solicitation will not be available electronically.
