Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a firm, fixed-price contract to upgrade the fire sprinkler and fire alarm system of the Russell Senate Office Building for the Architect of the Capitol. The base contract work includes the demolition and replacement of the automatic sprinkler system in the attic of the RSOB to comply with AOC Design Standards, NFPA 13, etc. The work also includes the installation of new fire alarm and supervisory devices associated with the attic automatic sprinkler system. Optional work includes correcting sprinkler deficiencies in various areas of the building. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 31, 2006. The due date for receipt of proposals is September 7, 2006. Requests for drawings must be made to Fred Witcher, Contracting Officer via fax to (866) 539-4925 or email at fwitcher@aoc.gov. The solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES!! Date and time for a site visit will be determined later. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
