Washington, DC 20460 NAICS Code: 561499 SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOB) Sources Sought for written information only. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought notice or reimburse the costs incurred by potential offerors in providing the information requested. The U.S. EPA's Office of Regulatory Policy and Management (ORPM) is conducting market research to determine potential SDVOB sources for an Environmental Justice (EJ) workshop, using FAR Part 13--Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to provide assistance organizing, facilitating and documenting an internal half-day workshop in consultation with EPA's Contracting Officers Representative (COR). The contractor will assist with preparing materials, facilitating the workshop, and writing a workshop summary. The workshop will be held on-site at EPA's Washington, DC headquarters. EPA will provide meeting room, necessary equipment and other information as discussed below. The workshop's focus is to develop strategies for incorporating Environmental Justice in EPA's regulations and policies. The workshop will analyze the effect of current EPA regulations and policies on EJ; develop screening criteria for evaluating EJ applicability; and identify actions suitable for EJ considerations. Participants will include ORPM staff and resource speakers (approximately 40 EPA staff members total). the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561499, with a size standard of $6.5 million. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION OR COST PROPOSAL. this is a request for interested potential SDVOB offerors to submit a brief capability statement, demonstrating how they plan to meet the above requirement. Submissions shall be limited to no more than five (5) pages. Standard brochures will not be considered as a sufficient response to this notice. The capability statement should include the following: (1) Name of vendor; (2) Contact information (address, telephone, facsimile, e-mail); (3) Technical description of capabilities in meeting the requirement; (4) Experience conducting workshops; (5) Business size and classification. Businesses should submit an electronic copy of the requested information to Redmon.iris@epa.gov no later than July 27, 2006, 4:00 p.m. EST. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
