- The Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to solicit on a competitive basis for the procurement of commercial slewing type electro-mechanical boat handling and stowage systems (boat davit system) used for launch and recovery of single point pickup, 7,000 pound, Navy Standard 7 meter Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), Testing Support and Training, and Spare Parts. The resultant contract will be awarded on a Best Value Basis and will be a Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery Contract providing for the issuance of delivery orders during a five-year period starting on the date of contract award. An estimated maximum quantity of six systems will be ordered. Offerors will be required to submit technical proposals. The Solicitation is expected to be released on or about 10 August 2006. Solicitation packages will only be available electronically and no hard copies will be sent. All interested parties may download the Solicitation and any amendments at http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://www.fedbizopps.gov after the Solicitation release date.
