- 17. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source modification to contract N00024-05-C-5346 with Raytheon Company, Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), 50 Apple Hill Drive, Tewksbury, MA 01876 for two sets of Mission Systems Equipment (MSE) for DDG hulls 1000 and 1001, a Dual Band Radar, and engineering and logistics services to support the DDG 1000 program. Raytheon IDS is the designer, developer, and systems integrator of the Mission Systems Equipment and is the only contractor who possesses the technical knowledge, data, and necessary resources to perform the work in total described herein as well as adhere to the required timeframe to support the Navy?s needs. MSE includes Dual Band Radar, Multi-function Towed Array Suite, Towed Torpedo Countermeasure Suite, Close-in Gun System, Common Array Cooling Systems, Common Array Power System, Electronic Surveillance and Intelligence Suite, Navigation System, Decoy Launching System, Integrated Bridge System, Antenna, Sensors, Command and Control, and the Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) systems, and associated software. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for the posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. This contract action will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
