SET-ASIDE: THIS PROJECT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS SOLICITATION NO.: Q5530060075 DESCRIPTION: This work consists of the repainting of the elevator support structure, ladders, etc. in the elevator shaft. The work also includes the creation and maintenance of negative pressure at the bottom of the elevator shaft. The negative pressure is needed to minimize the amount of fumes from the work associated with the painting of the elevator structure and associated ladders, landings, etc. that spreads into the cave. PROJECT COST RANGE: $25,000.00 TO $100,000.00 LOCATION: The elevator tower is located in the Elevator Building along the Cave City Entrance Road to Mammoth Cave National Park, P.O. Box 7, Mammoth Cave, Kentucky 42259 (Edmonson County). Mammoth Cave National Park is located approximately half way between Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky near Interstate 65. QUALITY ASSURANCE: A construction permit is not required; however, the contractor shall be experienced with work as described above. The NAICS Code for this project is 238320 and the small business size standard is $12 million dollars. This procurement is a Request For Quotation (RFQ) and is subject to the provisions of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisitions. A MANDATORY Pre-bid site inspection will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation instructions. Quotes will be due 14 calendar days following the issuance of the solicitation which will be August 21, 2006.
