Description

The Plans and Specifications were issued today (7/21) and are available to be downloaded from www.fedbizzops.gov or from the following direct link: https://www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912BU06B0010. The contract work consists of a base bid to place approximately 500,000 cubic yards of beachfill along the Atlantic Coastline of Long Beach Island, Ocean County, New Jersey. It also includes vehicular dune and handicap crossovers, split rail fence, sand f ence and dune grass. The contract work also consists of 13 separate options. Options 1, 5, 6 and 10 are to place additional amounts of beachfill per option, if awarded outside of the base bid area. These options may also include demolition of various tim ber piles; construction of pedestrian, vehicle, and handicap dune crossovers, planting dune grass, sand fencing, relocation or removal of various existing structures to accommodate the new beachfill and dunes. Options 2, 3, 4, 7,8, 9, 11, 12 and 13 are fo r additional beachfill, if awarded, to be placed anywhere within the awarded contract areas. The bid opening date is August 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
