Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The VA Heartland Network 15 has a requirement to lease theatre and exhibit space to host the 2007 National Veterans Creative Arts Festival to be held October 25-28, 2007 in St. Louis, MO. The Government intends to negotiate the requirement sole source with Touhill Performing Arts Center, University of Missouri- St. Louis. The sole source determination is based upon the needs of the veterans and close proximity of the Theatre to the airport and lodging. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 531120 and the Size Standard is $6.5 M. The acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is noted that FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement is not applicable to simplified acquisitions. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties are requested to review the above requirements, and submit a statement of interest that must be submitted on or before August4, 2006. The determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
