- Description
- This solicitation announcement is to notify interested parties of the FAA's intentions to procure the following Construction Services. The NAICS code is 237310. This announcement does not obligate the FAA to procure the services so listed for the re-paving of Amelia Earhart Blvd. General contractors are to perform 50% of the work. The work is located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, Pomona, New Jersey, 08405. The work includes, but is not limited to: grubbing stumps from previously removed trees; removal of 1" to 3" thick of existing pavement and resurfacing with new I-5 Bituminous Concrete Along Amelia Earhart Blvd. The period of performance is 42 calendar days from the notice to proceed. A mandatory site visit will be held July 28, 2006, at 9:00 am EST with all parties meeting at the Security Operations Center Main Gate. The specification is attached to this announcement. The drawings and the solicitation will be distributed to site visit members only. Estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bid bond shall be 20% of the proposal. The performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price are required after notification of award. A Firm Fixed Price contract will be utilized. Proposals will only be accepted from site visit participants. If you intend to participate in the site visit, contact the Contracting Officer via e-mail of your desire to attend. All proposals are due, August 8, 2006, at 2:00 pm, EST. Anticipated date of award will be on or before August 24, 2006. All inquiries regarding this announcement to be submitted via e-mail only.
