- Uniform Ordering Procedures Special Fedbizopps Announcement The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking vendors to manufacture and/or provide uniform clothing items to all uniformed staff in approximately 105 institutions throughout the United States. THIS IS NOT A CONTRACT WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Any orders or obligations that occur will be between the vendor and the BOP employee. The BOP will establish an ?Approved Vendor List? which will be made available to all uniformed employees. These employees will contact vendors directly to purchase the uniform items. Vendors wishing to apply for the ?Approved Vendor List? should send notification to Catherine S. Scott, Contracting Officer, Federal Bureau of Prisons, 320 First Street (5006), N.W., Washington D.C. 20534, or at cstewart1@bop.gov by to request the Ordering Procedures. Requests must be received by August 11, 2006. A ?Uniform Sample Review? will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. to1:00 p.m. at the following address: 500 First Street, NW, Suite 5006, Washington D.C. 20534. Attendance is not required, however, bid samples will be available for review. If vendors plan to attend, please notify the Contracting Officer in advance in order to expedite security entrance procedures. You must have picture identification to enter the building. Bid samples and other documentation must be submitted in accordance with the Ordering Procedures by the close of business Friday, August 18, 2006. All samples will be evaluated on a ?Go/No-Go? basis.
