Description

The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) ??? San Diego intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price purchase order to Photon-X LLC, 283 Great Valley Parkway, Malvern, PA 19355 on a sole source basis for fabrication and refinement of design of low loss polymer waveguides in a multi-layer configuration for use in a narrow linewidth filter. This is a follow-on procurement to research that was competitively awarded under BAA N66001-05-X-6030 / Contract N66001-06-C-2005. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be prepared and no hard copy will be made available. Award will be made in accordance with Far Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541710, and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
