Description

This acquisition is in support of U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility Yokosuka, Japan. The requirement is for 2 each MX-9 stern tube seal assembly kits and 2 each ER rudder stock hull seal assembly kits. This action is to be negotiated on a sole source basis with Wartsila Lips, Inc of Chesapeake, VA 23323, per FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The seals kits are to be shipped to Travis Air Force Base California. The desired delivery date is 11 August 2006 with a required delivery date of 31 August 2006. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents.
