Description

This is a notice of intent to negotiate with Teletronics Technology Corporation on an other than full and open competition basis for Airborne Instrumentation hardware for the NAVAIR Special Flight Instrumentation Pool under Request for Proposal N00421-06-R-0046. Teletronics Technology Corporation is the sole manufacturer and reseller of Teletronics equipment. The hardware are components of existing systems and must be completely compatible, electronically and mechanically. Many of the items are direct replacements of existing parts. These modular devices come together to form complete airborne instrumentation data acquisition systems for use on F-18, V-22, JSF, C-130, helicopters and other Navy aircraft. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This requirement supports the Air Vehicle Modification and Instrumentation department on the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland. It is anticipated a firm-fixed priced Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity will be awarded for this effort. Award of this requirement is anticipated on or before 1 September 2006. This requirement is being procured under statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 USC Section 2304(c)(1), only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Responses to this notice of intent must be made within fifteen (15) days after this notice is electronically posted and should include the company name, point of contact, address, telephone number, fax number, email address of the point of contact, and company literature sufficient to determine the firm?s capability to perform this effort. Consideration of responses is solely within the discretion of the Government, generally for purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
