- Description
- Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award Tomahawk Block IV Operational Test Launch (OTL) Flight Test options as a modification to N00019-04-C-0569. This requirement includes the material and services required to convert a Tomahawk Block IV production unit to a Tomahawk Block IV test unit utizing a Range Safety System (RSS). The requirement also includes pre-test, test, and post-test support. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Company, P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, Arizona 85734-1337. Raytheon is the only company capable of performing this effort. Since 1994, Raytheon has been the sole developer, designer and manufacturer for the Tomahawk AUR. Raytheon solely possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tomahawk AUR missile. Raytheon currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents for the Tomahawk Weapons System. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tomahawk missile is required to perform the Tomahawk Block IV OTL Flight Test , Raytheon is the only source capable of accomplishing this requirement in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs.
