- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Central Region, Geographic Information Office has a requirement to acquire imagery for Houston urban area in response to a Department of Defense (DOD) request for high-resolution imagery over 134 urban areas in support of Homeland Security. The imagery will True 6-inch Ground Sample Distance; True 1-foot Ground Sample Distance; True Natural color; Horizontal accuracy will be +/-4 feet, and will meet or exceed 1:4800-scale National Map Accuracy standard for 6-inch resolution; NAD 83 Datum; State Plane, Texas South Central and Central Zones. Imagery must be less than 2 years old. The total cost to the government is 10.4% of the total cost of data for which the government will receive a license free deliverable to be used in the public domain. The U.S. Geological Survey considers this specified requirement as a sole source to Houston-Galveston Area Council Data Services Department, 3555 Timmons Lane, Suite 120, Houston, Texas 77027-6478. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services at the same cost may submit a capabilities statement to the contracting officer USGS, PO Box 25046 Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO 8025-0046 no later than the closing date of this requirement (08/03/2006) 3:00 PM MST. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist; if no submissions are receivced by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with noncompetitive award without further notice. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ); the Government does not anticipate issuing a written solicitation. This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-04, effective 08 June 2005. No number notes apply.
