Description

THIS IS A REVISED DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The National Park Service is anticipating the design, fabrication and installation of a structural support assembly on the observation deck of the Perry's Victory National Peace Memorial, Put-In-Bay, OH. The Memorial is located on South Bass Island on Lake Erie. It is anticipated that stainless steel material will be used for the structural support assembly. The assembly shall be required to support all four sides of the observation deck fascia stone panels of the Memorial (see the attached photos and Sitevisit Report dated June 30, 2006 of the Memorial GO TO THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE ftp://63.220.43.40/PEVI. Login as npsftpwin, Password: FTP04npswin. Use the standard Windows EDIT> COPY> and EDIT> Paste functions to download files). The contractor will be required to work in unison with the Government contracted Architect-Engineering firm on the design of the structural support assembly. Conditions that will affect the installation of the support assembly will be the delivery of the assembly to the jobsite by way of the seasonal ferry or barge, time of the year (late fall/early winter), lodging, moving the materials to the top of the Memorial (possible use of the Memorial elevator (2500# capacity to 300' level) 4' 11" interior dimensions of elevator)). Attached to this announcement is the Risk Assessment Report dated June 30, 2006 (please DO NOT contact Architect-Engineering firm with questions.) All questions shall be directed to Billy W.
