- The Dinosaur NM Shuttle services, per contract, provides visitor transportation from the lower visitor center to the Quarry visitor center (VC). As of 07/11/2006, the Quarry VC was closed for structural repairs. Due to this closure, the need for shuttle services to the Quarry VC is no longer needed. However, it is the Park's desire to continue shuttle services within the park, to an alternate destination, for continued park visitor services, until the end of current summer season. The current contractor has requested and been granted the authority, to run the alternate route on a temporary basis, at a no cost change, until completion of summer season, unless a more advantageous short-duration timeframe proposal and any new award is made. It is anticipated that a new shuttle services solicitation for a full season to this alternate route may be advertised by January 2007. Currently, the shuttle service to the Quarry VC comprises approximately 36 one mile round trips per day. The alternate route travels an equal total distance, made up of a nine mile round trip to the Green River campground, four times per day. These services are ongoing. If a new contract is awarded, quick mobilization would be required. Services would be required from the date of any award through September 4. An anticipated award date is approximated for mid to late August. This Announcement is being advertised in an effort to determine the level of interest in this project. Any vendor that would be interested in providing the required shuttle services for the approximate 2 to 3 week period should contact Joseph R.
