- The Norfolk District is offering for sale approximately 5,978 tons of standing pine sawtimber, 3,721 tons of standing pine chip and saw, 1,885 tons of standing pine pulpwood, 1,256 tons of standing hardwood sawtimber, and 783 tons of standing hardwoo d pulpwood on approximately 254 acres at Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, Virginia. The total number of items for this sale is four (4). The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers through August 15, 2006. Arrangements for inspections should be made by contacting Mr. Paul Carter, telephone (434) 292-2500 or cell phone (757) 613-7848. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., August 17, 2006, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Branch, Norfolk District , U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr. Carter at Fort Pickett or from the Acquisition, Management, and Dis posal Section, address shown above. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. All items of this sale will be sold by WEIGHT.
