- DESCRIPTION: The performance period for this project is one (1) base year plus two (2) option cycles, typically spaced 2 years apart. The project consists of biennial maintenance dredging of the federal navigation channels and sand traps of Channel Islands Harbor, and an option to perform maintenance dredging of Port Hueneme Harbor. Amount of dredge material available at Channel Islands Harbor and sand traps per cycle ranges from 700,000 cubic meters to 1,700,000 cubic meters. Majority of the dred ge material is placed on Hueneme Beach located south of Port Hueneme Entrance Channel, approximately 2 miles from the Channel Islands Harbor sand trap. Some dredge material is placed at Silver Strand Beach, which is located south of and adjacent to Channe l Islands Harbor. Each dredge cycle is to be completed within 90 days of Notice to Proceed. All bids are due not later than 29 August 2006/1:00 pm PST, at which time bid opening will occur. The acquisition method is sealed bidding. ALL OFFERORS ARE ADVI SED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. ORDERING SOLICITATION: The solicitation will be available on or about 26 July 2006. Plans and specifications will not be provided in hard paper copy. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedTeDS. Access to the solicitation documents on the FedTeDS website will be via a hyperlink. The hyperlink will be inserted into the notices for this acquisition posted on both the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website (https://acquisitio n.army.mil/asfi/) and the FedBizOpps (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov) once the solicitation is issued. The hyper-link will not appear as a website address, but as text as follows: Available online via the FedTeDS (Federal Technical Data Solution) website. Vie wing/downloading documents from FedTeDS will require prior registration in Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov). If you are a first-time FedTeDS user, you will also be required to register in FedTeDS (www.fedteds.gov) before accessing the solicit ation documents. To register, click on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink, then select the Begin Vendor/Contractor Registration Process option.
