Description
The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Life Cycle Management and Program manager, Night Vision Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition is conducting a market survey. This is a market survey to locate sources of supply for the Dism ounted Battery Carrying Cases (DBBCC) MILSTRIP# W81UHNSOCS uesd with the Long Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3). The purpose of this procurement is to acquire 107 additional quantities of the Dismounted Battery Carrying Case (DBCC) with 1 00% option to meet the Armys production requirement. This is a market survey to identify all parties interested in taking part in this entire effort as a prime contractor. Please provide information no later than 31 July 2006. Note the Government doe s not own a technical drawing package for this effort. a. Description and Application: The purpose of this procurement is to acquire a sub-component of the LRAS3, the DBCC aides in enabling the LRAS3 to function in a dismounted configuration by carrying extra batteries for use in the Dismount Battery Box (DBB) during dismount operations. Th e function of the DBCC is to provide the Solider a one handed carry capability for six rechargeable BB390A/U batteries. b. Performance Requirements: The following list contains the performance specifications that the supplier will need to meet to be considered fully qualified. MIL-W-4088K Webbing, Textile Woven Nylon MIL-C-43834D Cloth, Duck, Textured Nuylon MIL-STD-130K Identification Marking of U.S.Military Property V-T-295E Thread Nylon ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9002-1994 Quality Systems ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001-2000 Quality Management Systems Requirements ANSI/ASQC Z1.4-1993 American National Standards The DBCC shall have five internal dividers to allow for carrying six BB390A/U batteries in individual compartments; it shall have a top cover with a 1 flap and zipper closure; a carrying handle; and an adjustable carrying strap that shall wrap around the bottom of the case. The top cover shall be hinged in the back and the color shall be green. c. Projected Quantity Requirements(107): The projected Dismount Battery Box quantities are as follows: 2007 Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct 5 30 30 30 12 To be considered fully qualified a prospective supplier will need to meet the delivery quantities plus all possible surge needs.
