Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 334515, Size Standard 500 employees. Solicitation/Purchase Request number F2BDDL6195B001 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The Government intends to award a purchase order for the following line items to Beel Technologies Inc., St Bruno, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, through the Canadian Commercial Corporation, Ottawa, Ontario: CLIN 0001: Dual Channel Mode 3/A C Far Field Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) Monitor with automatic switchover, Part Number 32105/000, quantity 2 each; CLIN 0002: Solar Power Source (3 panels, 510 watts, 200 AHr Battery storage, aluminum enclosure), Part Number 45-795-01, quantity 2 each; CLIN 0003: Outdoor enclosure with transport handles, Part Number 45-494-01, quantity 2 each. FOB: Destination (McGuire Air Force Base NJ and Tinker Air Force Base OK ). Inspection and Acceptance: Origin. Delivery required on or before 01 February 2007. This requirement is determined to be available only from Beel Technologies Inc. Justification: The AN/MPR-26 Radar Surveillance Central has an Identification Fiend or FOE system that operates independently of the Primary Radar Antenna. This system requires a RSSRM (Remote Secondary Surveillance Radar Monitor) to serve as a test target for the SSR. The RSSRM serves as an independent means of verifying SSR integrity. Additionally, the equipment must be capable of being sited in areas that have no infrastructure, whether on an established AF Base or deployed airfield, since the RSSRM supports mobile radar operations. Because of this requirement, it needs to have an outdoor enclosure and solar power source. Beel Technologies Inc with the Model 32105 is the only R22RM manufacturer who satisfies these requirements (Dual Channel operation; automatic switchover, operation in modes 3/A and C, solid state, built-in test and fault reporting, directional antenna, integral 50 DB attenuator, outdoor enclosure and solar panels). No formal requests will be issued for this procurement. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09 effective 19 April 2006.
