- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a firm fixed price award to Toby S. Edelman entitled " Database and Analysis of Hearing Decisions by the DAB." The purpose of this acquisition is to make use of the services of an expert with unique understanding of the social and legal aspects associated with this task, and has a thorough history of the program. We want to purchase the services of an individual who can quickly identify decisions that may impact policy decisions regarding the Federal certification process, laws, regulations, guidance, and the manner in which they're applied. We are requesting the services of a nationally recognized expert who has intimate knowledge of these areas, related to the nursing home enforcement system. Solicitation CMS-EAW-06-00004 will be available in hard copy. The government will not pay for any cost for contractor's quote submitted in response to this solicitation. The Government will consider interest expressed within 15 calendar days of publication of this notice. Written requests should be submitted to Evelyn A.
