- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of a market survey, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, being conducted by the Bureau of the Census, Washington, D.C., to determine potential sources capable of fulfilling a requirement for an Electric Covered Baggage Tug and Closed Baggage Carts. The Electric Baggage Tug may be new or refurbished in good working condition. It shall have: 3,000 lbs draw bar pull; battery with charger; 72 volt motor; steering; brakes; electrical control and gauges; turning radius 115?; dimensions of approximately: L=121?, W=52?, H=69? with cab; wheelbase 58.5?, GVW 5,400 lb; parking brake and rear hitch; painted fleet white, all maintenance and parts manuals. The Closed Baggage Cart may be new or refurbished in good working condition. It shall consist of: an enclosed style baggage cart with new curtains; ?v? or flat shelf styled; 4,000 lb capacity, brakes; steering and towing bar; hitches at front and rear, solid tires; and dimensions of: L 116?, W 69?, H 79?. All businesses capable of providing these services are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government, as a result of the Sources Sought, is voluntary. This Sources Sought does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. Interest vendors are asked to submit the following information : 1. A written capabilities briefing in response to this inquiry 2. Company?s business size, status (i.e. small business, 8(a), HUBZone, women owned, etc.) Small businesses are especially encouraged to submit a response to this notice. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are required to be submitted no later than July 28, 2006, 4:00 pm. Eastern Standard Time.
