Description
This synopsis is being modified to correct the set aside and add the estimated price range. Close abandoned mine portals by fabricating and installing bat gates that restrict humans but allow entrance and egress for bat populations. Work includes steel fabrication on site, installing by anchoring into the rock face, and accessing sites that are not accessible by motorized vehicles. The abandoned mine portals are in various locations in Hells Canyon, along the Snake River, on both the Oregon and Idaho sides, which is located on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, as well as on the Malheur National Forest. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about 8/1/2006.
