- The Western Montana Acquisition Zone anticipates awarding a contract to replace a culvert on the Ninemile Ranger Distict of the Lolo National Forest. The intent of the contract is to remove and replace an existing corrugated metal pipe culvert on Eustache Creek on Road No. 97, Mile Post 3.80. The structure is located in Section 2, Township 17 North, Range 25 West, Missoula County, Montana. The replacement culvert is a Government furnished corrugated metal pipe-arch structure. This project includes, but is not limited to, removing and disposing of an existing corrugated pipe culvert, structural excavation, loading, hauling and installing a Government furnished culvert, backfilling, compacting, furnishing, hauling and placing roadway embankment, riprap, roadway surfacing, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the work according to the contract. The project can be accessed by traveling Interstate 90 to the Ninemile Exit. From the north side of I-90, follow signs to the Ninemile Ranger Station. From there, travel northwest on Ninemile Road 412 through the Ninemile Valley to the junction with Road #97. Follow the road approximately 3 miles to the Eustache Creek crossing near the Ninemile and Plains Ranger Districts boundary.
